From Rapid Answers
Welcome to RapidAnswers!
Welcome to the unofficial wiki for the RapidWeaver website design platform, its add-ons, and any other topics of interest to the RapidWeaver community! Only logged-in users can edit or create pages; you can create a login through the link in the upper-right corner of this page.
Why RapidAnswers? Over the years I've noticed the same questions are answered over and over again, and sometimes when I've given a complex answer to a problem I find myself searching through my past posts when the question comes up again. I considered writing a "Missing Manual" for RapidWeaver, but couldn't really find the time to get started. A wiki seemed like a good solution to the problem: a community resource that many could contribute to, and that could grow over time into an on-line manual for the product.
A good starting point for the new user is Wiki help, where you'll find learning resources developed specifically for this wiki as well as "generic" resources at the MediaWiki official site.
Viewing and Editing RapidAnswers Pages
Anyone can view RapidAnswers content and post to discussion pages, but to be able to edit pages and add pages, you will need a login. Click the login/create an account link at the top of the page to create a RapidAnswers account. If you have the time and would like to help out with the wiki as a sysop, contact one of the users who has sysop privileges for consideration. An introduction to creating and editing pages may be found here.
Note: Be sure to check and see if a topic is already covered before adding a page on a new topic; it may be that your information will be more effective if added to (or replacing) the information on an existing page!
